About Ysabel

Ysabel is a God-fearing former dancer, current dance teacher, choreographer and the new Dance Program Director at Soli deo Gloria School of Dance and the Arts.

She is a graduate of the York University Dance Program where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Choreography and Performance. Prior to this, she graduated from the Pre-Professional Ballet Programme at the Toronto School of Ballet and the Performing Arts Programme at O’Neill CVI. Her dance training took her to the United States where she trained at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City and was a scholarship recipient.

Since 2023, Ysabel has worked at The National Ballet of Canada in the Education department overseeing dance education programming for over 30,000 students across Canada each year. She is also on faculty at the National Ballet’s In Studio Ballet Programme where she teaches open ballet classes to people of all ages and levels.

Ysabel is passionate about using the gift of dance to glorify the Lord and is motivated to train her students to pursue growth and excellence both in their ballet technique training and their spiritual walks with Jesus.
