Death Was Arrested

4/8/2021

"Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin

Lost without hope with no place to begin

Your love made a way to let mercy come in

When death was arrested and my life began"

-North Point Worship

Even though Easter / Resurrection weekend is now behind us, we can't stop proclaiming the great news that Christ's sacrifice on the cross and resurrection from the dead breaks the chains of our sins and the grave.

Watch "Death Was Arrested" by our online adult contemporary class from this winter term.

“Every single one of his years on earth was destined and pre-ordained by his Heavenly Father, and he worked so many amazing miracles during his appointed time.

But what happened to him after that? That, my friends, is what I am going to tell you today.

Currently, it is Passover time, and the celebrations are in full swing already. Oh, how I wish you could see Jerusalem now!”

Mary’s wish can come true! Our Glorious Day production will be premiering this Saturday at 7pm on YouTube!

Easter 2021

3/23/2021

Our Easter production "Glorious Day" is a celebration of Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His journey to the cross, victorious resurrection from the grave, and finally our joyful expectation of His return. The music variety ranges from instrumental to contemporary Christian as each aspect of the production aims to reveal what Jesus has done and our response to him.

There’s an opportunity for you to see it live and in person! On this Saturday, March 27th, we will be performing Glorious Day in New City Church Brantford for the public and the families of our dancers. At 5:30 pm, our performance will start, and we’ll wrap up at 6:15. DM us for more details and RSVP with the number of people as seats are limited. If you can’t make the live, we’ll also have the video up on our YouTube channel on Easter weekend.

End of Spring Term 2020

6/10/2020

As we wrap up our winter and spring term this year during the COVID season, each student in our beginner and intermediate classes chose an attribute of God and choreographed to it. May this piece help you focus on who God is rather than the uncertainties that surround us. Additionally, our adult contemporary class worked on this piece called "After You" by Britt Nicole, choreographed by Elyssa Currey. May you be reminded to go only after Jesus as the source of your true satisfaction!

Easter

4/12/2020

Today we celebrate Jesus’s victory over death and the grave! While COVID-19 has prevented us from physically practicing and performing our Easter production, it hasn’t stopped us from bringing our dancers together virtually to bring you this dance to Glorious Day by Casting Crowns. Although our performance is far from polished, assembled from home videos, with limited spaces, and many other less than ideal circumstances, this is an offering to the Lord and a desire from our hearts to proclaim His glory! God bless you all and praise to our risen Lord!

John Knox Christian School, Oakville

12/16/2019

When our school first started, we looked for people and groups to partner with us, as well as to gain support to help spread the word about our school. As we reached out to John Knox Christian School in Oakville, their immediate response was "we want to help!" What a Godsend they have become! Not only did they invite us to perform at their chapel service, they blessed us by praying over us with their student prayer team. They also had a "pass the torch" initiative where we passed the torch to their students (dancers in this case) to symbolize a ripple effect in the world around them. So while we got to encourage their students to live for Christ, we were at the same time, encouraged to carry on the mission God has started through us. While this was the last performance of our term, it was God's way of telling us this is just the beginning of an exciting adventure. Soli Deo Gloria!

Seasons Retirement Community, Milton

12/12/2019

Tonight, we had the privilege of ministering to the seniors at Seasons Retirement Community in Milton. A lot of them were eager to watch us perform as they grabbed front row seats while we were just warming up! We started our short program with a few Christmas carols. Then two of our dancers shared stories of how God is at work in their lives. After the performance we stayed behind to mingle and chat. While many of them shared how blessed they were by our performance, we felt in turn, blessed to be a blessing. To have the opportunity to share the love of Christ and the hope of Christmas with them gave us great joy. Seeing the residents in this retirement community and interacting with them simply reinforced our mission - to share Christ's love and glory with the world.

Christmas Recital

12/9/2019

We were so blessed to have many friends and families of our dancers come to support our first recital tonight. Not only were there dances performed, but stories of how Jesus transformed their lives were shared by our dancers. At the end of the recital, we had people shared how they were moved to tears! We knew it was God who moved people's hearts through our dance and music – ultimately our worship of Him. Afterward, we had some refreshments and celebrated together. While this wrapped up our first term, there are still two more performances to come!

Almost finished!

12/1/2019

We are only 1 week or so away from the end of our 1st term! Praise God for the precious classes that were held in these past 2 months. As we approach the Christmas season, we thank God for the opportunities He has opened up for us to share the message of the birth of Christ through dance. We'll be performing at a nursing home as well as a local Christian School. As well, a simple end-of-term recital will take place at Hello Dance studio on December 9th at 5pm. We look forward to celebrating the birth of Christ with our dancers and their families!
